Our granddaugher, Brianna, was born yesterday by C-section. She's especially pretty, because she didn't get squished in the birth process. Her head is so nice and round and her cheeks are fat and beautiful. Our daughter-in-law is doing well, even able to get up and around last night. We were a little apprehensive because she is 39, but she was a real trooper and came through it beautifully.
Brianna protested loudly for a long time with her Trowbridge temper, because she wasn't ready to be on the outside yet. She was two days overdue, but this was a scheduled birth with no labor, broken water etc.. I think she wanted to enjoy a few more days of swimming around inside of her mom's tummy.
I can imagine that her mom was ready to have her be born though!
Brianna is learning early that one does not always get her way!
