God's Hand

Do you ever wonder how much God controls the events of our lives?

Yesterday at painting class we were amazed that 5 out of the 8 of us all got the stomach flu last Sat.. Of course we were comparing notes about our symptoms and trying to figure out what caused the attack. (Believe me, it was an ATTACK!)

One of the 3 to not get the bug was our teacher, Craig, whose wife is undergoing chemo treatments for cancer. If Craig's wife, Jan, were to get sick it would be a big problem, because of her lowered immune system.

Did God protect Craig and Jan?

These kind of questions are always hard because of the other implications involved.

I often feel God's hand in my life, so I sometimes think that God is involved in directing our circumstances, yet I don't feel comfortable with blaming God for the bad things that happen.

It is a mystery to me and I am so looking forward to understanding in "the by and by."
