I started reading "Vein of Gold" by Julia Cameron yesterday and following the advice, which has benifited my artwork already! I am onto something new. I call it my "Danish Modern Caribbean Michigan Art."
The thing that inspired me the most is the idea that only creativity can cure an aritistic injury, even if it's "bad art" or "crafts." So I set out to do some bad art and I love it. When I am thinking of my painting as a prototype or a first draft or a study for a better painting then my freedom emerges and I let loose with some unbridled creativity that results in a creative binge where I don't care how hungry, sore or tired I am. My bladder is the only thing that will get me to stop for a break.
