Dear Loved Ones,

God bless you, your loved ones and your ministries today!

Yesterday was my birthday and Seth handed me a birthday postcard first thing in the morning with a photo of Dianna Ross and the Supremes on it. He wrote "I love you" on the back. Such joy!

My mom wanted to take Seth and me out for lunch, so we drove to Midland. We played 20 Questions all the way there and back which made the time fly! We ate chicken fajitas at Qdoba's which were delicious! Mom was in good spirits.

When we got home Roger had a lovely card written to me and took me out to the Mapleleaf Inn downtown for a Rueben sandwich. The server was a man in his 50's wearing a feed cap and a salt and pepper beard. He was anxious to please. He got the cook to make a cinnamon fritter for me and scrounged up a candle so I could make a wish.

It was a lovely birthday!

This morning I found over 40 happy birthday wishes on my facebook page which was a huge surprise! Seth didn't think I would remember to thank people, so he made a thank you message for me! Of course I had to write my own as well.

We got good news from the Dr. about Seth's medical tests and that is the best birthday gift a mom could ever want.

Love, Sue

Dear Loved Ones,

God bless you, your loved ones and your ministries today!

Christmas morning was magical! Seth got a look of surprise and gratitude on his face when he opened the humble gifts he requested for Christmas. It reminded me of when he was 7 years old and the Easter bunny brought him a live baby rabbit for Easter. I love it when I get such precious moments to store away in my memory!

Dear Loved Ones,

God bless you, your loved ones and your ministries!

A week ago, Seth had a snow day and he got up out of bed to play fox and geese with me!!! Of course, I was always "it!" He's impossible to catch.

Then we decorated the tree and house for Christmas to the tunes on Nat King Cole's Christmas album.

As a finale, we baked Scottish shortbread and ate it while it was still warm from the oven. YUM!

I love being a mom!!!!

Love, Sue
