Dear Friends,
God bless you, your loved ones and your ministries this week!
Two nights ago, I put the puppy out the back door to go potty and looked up to see the most beautiful double rainbow I ever saw!!! It extended across the entire sky and lasted for about twenty minutes. What a blessing!

Fall Fun
Dear Friends,
God bless you, your loved ones and your ministries this week!
Last week a friend invited us to fly over our village in his single engine airplane. Seth went with me, but Roger was not so brave. We flew over Ripley's Corn Maze which was super fun to see. There is a dragon and a spider web carved in the corn. Seth got a photo on his phone to show to his friends at school the next day. We saw our house, the Congregational Church and the grain elevator at the end of our street. We also saw Seth's school, Thornapple Lake, Peace Church, Kalamo, Moo-ville and Nashville.
I was impressed with how small Charlotte and Lansing are from that vantage point. I was also amazed at how many trees are still left unharvested. The rivers and natural lakes stand out in sharp contrast to the rectangular geometry of the corn and bean fields.
Later in the week, we went to Art Prize in Grand Rapids. Seth was happy to get a day off from school and it was amazing to see everyone's differing reactions to the art. My favorites were the bronze statue man, the tee shirt structure, the door with the suitcase, the scar project and the pillars of cereal boxes surrounded by the carpet of bottle caps. Seth and I both liked the video about the concentration camps for the Japanese.
On Sat. we watched our grandson's football game and he made the only touchdown in the whole game! He was grinning from ear to ear along with the whole family!

puppy time
Dear Friends,
God bless you, your loved ones and your ministries this week!
In the mornings before school, Seth and I are in the kitchen with the puppy. I throw bits of dog food across the floor and the pup chases them, pounces and then eats them. He is so adorable. Memories are made of moments like this.

First Day of School
Dear Friends,
God bless you, your loved ones and your ministries this week!
We have a new puppy who is absolutely too cute for words! He's an 8 weeks old Jack Russell Terrier with an all white body, except for a black patch over his right eye and ear. Our son named him Kovac. He is a 3 ring circus until he drops in his tracks and falls asleep. He's cuddly when he's sleepy.
Kovac rode along in the car to take his boy to school. The boy was super excited to see his friends again.
Life is good!
