Dear Loved Ones,
God bless you, yours and your ministries this week!
Lakewood School District had a special summer school for elementary kids to write and illustrate a children's book. They hired me to teach art and I had fun watching the kids create. The title of the book is tentatively called, "GO FROG WILD." J-Ad Graphics in Hastings will be publishing it.
It's not that hard to write and illustrate a book. Self publishing at a local printer is easy and inexpensive.

Grandma Camp
Dear Loved Ones,
God bless you, yours and your ministries this week!
Do you have happy memories of your grandparents?
My grandparents were the best and now I'm trying to do as they did with our grandchildren. We had Grandma camp this weekend and I cooked my traditional seven course breakfast in bed for the kids. I feel happy and satisfied with the pleasant outcome (hugs and kisses!)
Love, Sue

Weight Watchers
Dear Friends,
God bless you, your loved ones and your ministries this week!
I'm back at Weight Watchers for the 4th time, but this time I think I'll succeed. I have a new teacher who is a ball of fire. She says she's "Rianna Doss" and sings, "Stop! And write it down, before you take a bite!" to the tune of "Stop in the Name of Love." That song is stuck in my head and I'm recording every food before I eat it.
I'm inspired and excited about getting healthier!

Art Criticism
Dear Friends,
God bless you, your loved ones and your ministries!
I received a note from an artist friend who has become immune to human criticism of her work after 30 years in the business. She says she paints to please God and doesn't worry about what anyone else thinks.
I really, really needed to hear that today.
Thank you dear friend.

Creative Worship
Dear Friends,
God bless you, your loved ones and your ministries this week!
Imagine a worship service where the sanctuary is in the woods and there are easels surrounding the perimeter, along with drums, a dance floor, places to whittle and spots to write poetry. Creativity would be an act of worship. as the choir sings and the preacher tells stories about the word of God. Some people could be building with blocks, others could be knitting or playing with clay. The form of creativity would not matter; it could be anything.
The reason this idea appeals to me so much is because when a person is creating, they are in their child ego state and the faith of a child is much stronger than that of an adult. We could be worshiping with the faith of our inner child!
